The first phase of delhi mumbai Expressway, which completes the journey from delhi to mumbai in just 12 hours, has been started recently. In this phase from Gurugram to Dausa in Rajasthan, the tremendous speed of the vehicles is attracting everyone. In such a situation, a security threat has arisen for those vehicles, which are small or move at a slow speed. For this reason, the National Highways Authority of india (NHAI) has changed the rules for running on this expressway. After the new reshuffle, people carrying vehicles like bike-scooters or tractor-trolleys and tricycles will no longer be able to travel on this expressway. NHAI has also issued a gazette notification of this ban.

NHAI has said in the gazette notification that some categories of slow-moving vehicles are at risk due to the movement of fast-moving vehicles. Excessive movement of high speed vehicles can pose a risk to the safety of slow vehicles on the expressway. These vehicles include two wheelers, three wheelers and other slow speed agricultural tractors or non-motorised vehicles etc.

At what speed vehicles can run?...

NHAI has also told in the gazette notification at what speed vehicles can run on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. It has been said in the notification that this expressway has been developed as a high speed corridor. The maximum speed limit for different types of motor vehicles has been fixed for this expressway, which is between 80 kilometers per hour to 120 kilometers per hour, that is, vehicles can be driven on this expressway only between this speed limit.
