Former Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard is getting another shot at the NBA. Leonard agreed to a 10-day deal on Monday morning with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 30-year-old forward hasn't played in the NBA since 2020 after he used an antisemitic slur during a Twitch stream. Although it's been a difficult path back to the NBA for Leonard, he's had a great support system since the beginning. That includes his wife, Elle Bielfeldt.

Bielfeldt and Meyers Leonard started dating when they were 19 years old. They have been by each other's side throughout Leonard's career on the basketball court.

Meyers wasn't the only one thriving as a player on the hardwood. Elle was also a basketball player, as she was a part of the Peoria Notre Dame girl's basketball team. Elle is now a successful entrepreneur and the owner of Level Foods, a business that focuses on protein bars.

Meyer's Leonard was becoming a valuable rotation big across the NBA. That was until his incident as a member of the Miami Heat. After the antisemitic statement was made, Leonard was indefinitely suspended by the Miami Heat organization and ordered to stay away from the team.

Weeks later, Leonard found himself being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a move in which Leonard wasn't expected to play any games for the Thunder. Now it appears the veteran forward will get another chance at the NBA level.

The Milwaukee Bucks are going to make sure to do their homework when it comes to adding Leonard to their roster. They've acquired him with a 10-day contract, usually an "audition" for players to make a roster. It remains to be seen if Leonard will be welcomed in the locker room.

When Meyers was in the league, he showed the ability to be an essential piece of the puzzle. If he can prove himself to his Bucks teammates, there's a chance he will be welcomed with open arms.
