Two-wheeler rider killed in accident in Karnataka

MANGALURU: A two-wheeler rider died on the spot after his vehicle was hit by a pickup vehicle at Doldottu area in Kokradi village in Belthangady village on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Ujwal Hegde. According to police, the accident took place at around 7 am, when the pickup vehicle driver Harish Poojary was allegedly driving in a rash and negligent manner and hit the two-wheeler that was coming in the opposite direction from Naravi.
The victim Hegde sustained injuries and died on the spot. A case has been registered at Venur police station under IPC Sections 279, 304(A).
