Filing has ended for the May 6 election

Filing for a place on the ballot for the May 6 election closed for Southeast Texas elections on Friday.

Jefferson, Orange and Hardin counties all have multiple city council to school board or port commission elections.

Several races and elections that are uncontested, including Port of Beaumont and the West Orange and Lumberton city councils.

Elections, such as the Beaumont City Council and Port Artrhur ISD School Board, have several open seats with multiple candidates.
