ESIC hospital to be set up in Balasore
Bhubaneswar: The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on Monday approved proposals for setting up of a 100-bed hospital at Balasore considering the increase in the number of workers in Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts, said Union minister for labour and employment Bhupender Yadav in Chandigarh on Monday.
Director of ESIC Odisha Parthasarathy Panda said ESI beneficiaries of Balasore travel to travel to ESIC hospital in Choudwar. This problem will be solved after the establishment of an ESIC hospital at Balasore, he added. He said they will write a letter to Balasore collector to provide 5 acres of land for the hospital. “We will inspect the land and approve it,” he added.
Now Odisha has six ESIC hospitals. ESIC directly manages a 100-bed hospital at Angul and a 50-bed hospital at Rourkela.
