Eknath Shinde camp takes over Sena office
MUMBAI: The CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on Monday took charge of the Shiv Sena party office in Vidhan Bhavan, the state legislature. In the morning, the Shinde Sena demanded that the office be handed over to it in view of the EC's order recognising the Shinde-led group as the real Shiv Sena and giving it the party name and poll symbol of 'bow and arrow.' Sena chief whip Bharat Gogawale held a meeting of the party's MLAs in the Sena office on Monday.
Gogawale also said that he would soon issue a whip to all Sena MLAs, and it would be applicable to all MLAs, including those who are with the Uddhav Thackeray faction. Gogawale said, "The EC has given its decision and based on that, we are taking control over the Shiv Sena's party office. We have been given the party's name and symbol officially by the EC. So we have first taken over the party office and further, this kind of action will go on. As per rules, we will take action. We will also take over other offices after holding a meeting."
