BJP protests, burns Kumaraswamy’s effigy

Hubballi: BJP workers took out a protest march here on Monday condemning former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy’s statement against Union minister Pralhad Joshi.
They made an effigy of Kumaraswamy and took it from Ambedkar Circle and raised slogans against him. They burnt the effigy later.
The BJP workers said the JD(S) leaders have been involved in family politics for decades.
“Kumaraswamy has said that Joshi belongs to the DNA of Peshwas of Maharashtra. He should remember that Joshi is a born activist and had no history of politics in his family. He worked as a grassroots worker in the BJP and is one among the leaders who bolstered the BJP in the state,” a BJP worker said.
Leaders such as Mahesh Tenginakai, Shivanand Muttannavar, Dr Kranti Kiran, Chandrashekhar Gokak, Venkatesh Mestri, Rangabaddi and others were present.
