Join us on Thursday, February 23 at 2:00 pm EST for a Foreign and Comparative Law Webinar entitled "The Dilemma of Trafficking in Persons for the Purpose of Forced Labor and Sexual Exploitation in Member States of the Gulf Cooperation Council." This entry in the series will discuss the definition of human trafficking under the U.N. protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, and highlight the difference between human trafficking and people smuggling. Additionally, the webinar will focus on the scope of the problem of human trafficking in each country of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and address domestic anti-human trafficking legislation in these countries. Furthermore, the webinar will talk about measures adopted to protect the trafficking victims and prosecute perpetrators by countries of the GCC. This webinar will be presented by Senior Foreign Law Specialist George Sadek.
