Ludhiana: Haibowal police on Monday solved the burglary at a mobile store. The police arrested two accused and recovered 52 stolen mobile phones from them. The police also solved three more theft cases and seized more valuables and gold from the duo, identified as Prince Soni, 21, of Jassiyan Road and Munish Kumar, 20, of Anand Nagar of Haibowal.
On February 13, the accused had entered a mobile store and decamped with 100 phones and 12 laptops. Store owner Navratan Kumar had claimed that he incurred a loss of Rs 35 lakh in the incident.
Assistant commissioner of police (West) Mandeep Singh said the police initiated a probe into the matter and traced the accused. The police recovered 52 mobile phones and three laptops stolen from the store. Besides, the police also solved three more theft cases in the Haibowal area and seized 4 LCD TVs, one scooter without a registration number plate, one gold kara, two gold kangan, some spare parts of two-wheelers, two batteries, two water motors and four LPG cylinders. tnn
