The government on Monday entered into an agreement with Patanjali Ayurved for potential collaboration in various areas.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant had a discussion with the chairman of Patanjali Ayurveda, Acharya Balakrishna.
The interaction pertained to the exploration of various areas of collaboration for the development of Yog Bhoomi in Goa.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the government and Patanjali Ayurveda focuses on collaboration in areas of agriculture, floriculture, horticulture, pisciculture, organic farming, rural development, agro-eco wellness tourism, and dairy management.
Baba Ramdev had recently stated that Patanjali Ayurveda plans to set up a wellness centre in Goa, which would be the biggest centre in South India. The particular MoU could facilitate establishment of this centre in the state.
