    Shree Cements shares up 2.67% as Nifty gains

    NEW DELHI: Shares of Shree Cements Ltd. traded 2.67 per cent up in Monday's trade at 10:10AM (IST). Around 1,789 shares changed hands on the counter.

    The counter opened at Rs 24944.4 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 26009.45 and Rs 24886.8, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Shree Cements Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 26332.9 and a 52-week low of Rs 17900.0.

    As per BSE, the total market cap of the Shree Cements Ltd. stood at Rs 94216.21 crore at the time of writing this report.

    Key Financials
    The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 4473.38 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, up 6.58 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 4197.37 crore and up 19.26 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3750.96 crore.

    The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 282.07 crore, down 41.48 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

    Shareholding pattern
    As of 31-Dec-2022, domestic institutional investors held 6.88 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 12.5 per cent and the promoters 62.55 per cent.


    Valuation ratio
    According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 67.19 and a price-to-book ratio of 4.96. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
