Anti-labour policies being implemented: KSRTC unions
Thiruvananthapuram: The trade unions of CPM and CPI have come out against the transport minister and the KSRTC management alleging that they are trying to implement in KSRTC.
The latest decision on providing salaries in instalments and setting targets for depots for getting salaries, provoked the unions. On Monday, both CITU and AITUC will be taking protest marches to the KSRTC head office and central station in the state capital.
Besides, CITU has decided to approach the chief minister against the KSRTC management. They will launch 10,000 letters campaign against the management, and hand it over to the chief minister.
CPM leader and CITU state vice-president A K Balan came out against transport minister Antony Raju alleging that it is not the policy of the Left front that a discussion can be convened after taking unilateral decisions on disbursing salaries to employees.
“Whatever the management is deciding now is against the decisions taken during discussions held in the chief minister’s presence. The attitude of the transport minister that a discussion can be convened if the unions come forward for it, is not acceptable. This is not the policy of LDF,” said Balan.
