Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 11.20 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 6.13 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.01 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 5.29 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 3.83 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.74 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 3.41 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.29 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 2.15 crore) and BEL(number of shares traded: 2.04 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 19.55 points up at 17963.75, while BSE Sensex was up 141.43 points at 61144.0 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 0.80 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Cipla Ltd.(down 6.03 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 5.84 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
