23-year-old beaten for not returning money in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: A resident of Fatehwadi, Yasar Pathan, 23, who deals in electrical goods, lodged a complaint with the Vejalpur police on Friday alleging that one Raju and his son Ayaan, both residents of Fatehwadi, assaulted him on Thursday night at about 11pm when he sought time to return the money he had borrowed from Raju.
The complainant was pinned to the ground by the father-son duo and beaten for not returning the money on time. Pathan in his complaint said that his friends and other residents rescued him and took him to a private hospital in the area where he was admitted.
Vejalpur police registered a case under IPC 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), against Raju and his son and initiated a probe.
