Biscuit lovers headed to Mellwood Art Center in support of Boys and Girls Haven

Biscuit and gravy fans packed the Mellwood Art Center Saturday for The Gravy Cup. It was all for a good cause, benefitting the kids in foster care at Boys and Girls Haven.More than 40 chefs and amateurs competed for the title of grand champion showcasing their best biscuits and gravy. The event has been on pause for a few years."We haven't had it in person since March of 2020 or February of 2020 so right before the pandemic so we're back in person. It does seem like we have a great turnout. But this year does seem to be higher I think people are excited that we're back," said Amanda Masterson, Boys & Girls Haven.Making the best biscuits and gravy doesn't just come with bragging rights there are awards, including the coveted People's Choice Award.
