Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Forest minister Bhupendra Singh Yadav released the cheetahs into quarantine cages in Kuno National Park (KNP) in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh. On saturday morning, a special aircraft from south africa carrying cheetahs landed at gwalior Air Base. Four army chinook helicopters transported the cheetahs to KNP on saturday afternoon from there.

Ten quarantine enclosures have been created to house 12 cheetahs, according to principal chief conservator of forest (wildlife) JS Chauhan. 

Eight of these enclosures are brand-new, while two are older. 

Two isolation wards have also been prepared in addition to this. 

Due to the rise in temperature, shades have been added to every quarantine.

The number of cheetahs at the KNP has increased to 20, according to cm Chouhan, who praised prime minister Narendra Modi. The number of cheetahs in Kuno National Park will rise today. 10 quarantine enclosures for big cats have been built at the reserve, according to forest officials. Eight cheetahs from namibia were airlifted into india in september of the previous year.
