BOYS SWIMMING
WIAA Division 2 State Championships
WAUKESHA - Zeb Schermacher’s second-place finish in diving led Plymouth to a seventh-place finish in the team standings at the state meet Friday at Waukesha South High School.
Dylan Norby of Menomonie won the diving with a score of 457.25. Schermacher, a junior, was second with a 383.35.
Rhinelander won the team title with 256 points. McFarland was second with 250.5 and Shorewood was third with 249. Plymouth in seventh and Ashwaubenon in ninth led area teams.
Senior Ben Coley of Plymouth placed third in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.79 seconds. Senior Forest Olsen of Plymouth placed fifth in the 50 freestyle in 21.73 seconds and he also placed fifth in the 100 butterfly in 52.77 seconds.
Evan Harrison of Two Rivers/Roncalli placed third in the 500 freestyle in 4:46.47. Andrew Hodek of Ashwaubenon was fourth in the 500 in 4:49.75.

FOND DU LAC - The Lightning upset the Cardinals on senior night but, with Kaukauna’s victory over Oshkosh North, the Cardinals still managed to clinch their first outright Fox Valley Association championship since 1999-2000.
The trio of Trent Mullen, Will Sweeney and Nathan Ramus led Appleton North with 12 points apiece. Abraham Tomari added 11 points and Grant Hardy had 10 to round out the scoring leaders for the Lightning.
Jamariea Dalton led Fondy with 15 points, followed by Colton Blank with 12 and Rocky Barfknecht had 11 - all in the second half.

KAUKAUNA - The Ghosts outscored the Spartans 15-7 in overtime to pull out the FVA victory.
Finnley Doriot led Kaukauna with 26 points. Keegan Van Kauwenberg added 19 points and Carson Awe scored 17.
Oshkosh North was led by Steven Clark with 24 points.

FOND DU LAC - The Vikings clinched a share of the Flyway Conference title with the win over the Ledgers, finishing the regular season with a 13-1 mark in the league and a 21-3 overall record.
WLA shares the Flyway title with Laconia.
Winnebago Lutheran, which jumped out to a 20-2 lead and led by 11 at halftime, was led by Lindsey Nell with 20 points. Kiara Shea and Abby Cole added 14 and 13 points, respectively.
Sydney Pitz led St. Mary’s Springs with 16 points.

FOND DU LAC - Talan Blanck and Tate Baker each scored two goals for the Ledgers in the regional title game.
Gabe Braun, Teigue Wagner and Nolan Blackburn each had three assists for Springs.
Ledgers goalie Memphis Young made nine saves.

WAUPUN - Tyson Turner scored a goal in overtime to lift the Silver Eagles to the victory over the Warriors.
Nate Batzler scored two goals for Waupun. Chase Beahm, Mason Holz and Micah Buchholz also scored for Waupun, and Dakota Stephens added two assists.
Blake Colker made 31 saves in goal for Waupun.
