MSEDCL Invites Bids for 200 MW Wind Power Procurement
The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for the procurement of 200 MW wind power on a long-term basis through competitive bidding process from intra-state wind power projects.

The RfS will be followed by reverse e-auction to ensure transparency in the selection process.
The RfS document has been prepared with adequate care, and bidders are advised to satisfy themselves that the document is complete in all respects. MSEDCL has reserved the right to modify, amend or supplement the RfS document including the draft Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
While the RfS has been prepared in good faith, MSEDCL, its employees or advisors make no representation or warranty, express or implied, or accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever in respect of any statements or omissions in the RfS document. They shall incur no liability under any law, statute, rules or regulations as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of this RfS.
This move is a part of the government's effort to promote renewable energy and reduce reliance on non-renewable sources of power.
The competitive bidding process will ensure that the procurement of wind power is done at the most reasonable rates, while the reverse e-auction process will ensure that the selection process is transparent and fair.
The procurement of 200 MW wind power on a long-term basis will help in meeting the power demand of Maharashtra and promote the use of renewable sources of energy. Tha Last Date for the Submission of bid is March 15,2023
