Spring has sprung in the desert.

In Peoria, Ariz., the San Diego Padres’ most anticipated season began this week with the arrival of many of the team’s prized players.

These next few weeks mark an awakening from hibernation, a time to grow and mature and become the fullest versions of themselves by Opening Day.

For the Friar Faithful, the next few weeks mark the thaw from winter and the first sense of if The Hype is real.
