PV Hardware (PVH) has acquired over 16 acres of land in Valencia, Spain, to build the world's largest solar tracker factory.
Since its establishment in 2011, PVH has supplied more than 25GW in 230 solar plants worldwide, leading markets in Europe, Turkey, Australia, and the Middle East. The company aims to expand its capacity in Valencia and continue its growth trajectory.
Currently, PVH operates in seven different locations in Valencia, which will be unified under the new logistics center. The company plans to invest more than 20 million euros to expand its activity with the construction of a tube factory.
The move is expected to increase the company's capacity, drive the development and improvement of its products, and provide better service and conditions to its customers.
PVH processed nearly 200,000 tons of steel in Valencia in 2022, exported to five continents, generating a turnover of over 800 million euros and providing 600 direct jobs. By manufacturing its products in-house, PVH ensures shorter delivery times, mitigates price variations caused by market fluctuations, and adapts its products to the specific needs of each project.
The acquisition of the land in Valencia and the expansion of the company's activity is a part of PVH's strategy to become the world's number one supplier of solar trackers. "PV Hardware's strategy has always been to keep growing," said Emilio García, COO of PVH. “At the moment we are the third largest supplier of solar trackers in the world, and our goal is to become the world’s number one. We have the conditions and experience to do so, and with this expansion we will reach the necessary capacity to achieve our goal”.
With the new expansion, the company will reach the necessary capacity to achieve its goal. PVH has another manufacturing center in Saudi Arabia and plans to open its first factory in the United States in the coming months.
PVH is a leading driver of the Spanish renewables industry and a benchmark in Spain's role as a European power in sustainability at the forefront of the energy transition.
By unifying its activity in Valencia, the company aims to increase its capacity, participate in more projects, and enhance the warranty of the trackers, optimizing the performance of any solar asset.
