A deceased woman who was found in the rubble of an explosive house fire in San Francisco’s Sunset District on Thursday, Feb. 9, was identified by county officials on Wednesday.

The woman was identified as 51-year-old Rita Price, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told SFGATE via email. No further information about her has been shared.

A day after the fire erupted at 1734 22nd Ave., San Francisco Police Department officials arrested 53-year-old San Francisco resident Darron Price, the department wrote on Facebook. Price was taken into custody on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, manufacturing narcotics and two counts of child endangerment.

As of Feb. 11, officials were still investigating the cause of the powerful explosion that shattered car windows and forced the entire block to evacuate, and they may have found evidence of an illicit drug manufacturing facility.
