Two teens were rescued from the St. Clair River in Port Huron Wednesday.

Two teens were rescued from the St. Clair River after attempting to go swimming Wednesday afternoon.

Rescue crews responded to the river near the Blue Water River Walk in Port Huron about 1:15 p.m.

A15-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl were removed from the water and taken to a hospital.

Port Huron Fire Department Battalion Chief Dale Minard said they suspect the teens were attempting to swim and began to struggle in the water. The water at that time was approximately 33 degrees.

The teens' conditions were not immediately available.
