Share price of Vedanta falls as Nifty weakens

Shares of Vedanta Ltd. slipped 0.81 per cent to Rs 311.5 in Wednesday's trade as of 01:06PM (IST).

The stock hit a high price of Rs 314.7 and low of Rs 311.3 during the session.

The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 28.75 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 01:06PM shares and turnover at Rs 2.11 crore around that time.

The stock of Vedanta Ltd. quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low prices of Rs 440.75 and Rs 206.1, respectively.

The Beta value of the counter, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.4.

Promoters held 69.69 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2022, while overseas investors held 7.9 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 11.04 per cent.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 34818.0 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, down 6.78 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 37351.0 crore and down 0.42 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 34674.0 crore.

Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 2464.0 crore, down 40.83 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
