Doralee Chandler, the director of the Alcoholic Beverage Control division, will join the office of Attorney General Tim Griffin as the deputy attorney general for state agencies.
Chandler submitted her resignation in a letter dated Feb. 1 and stated her last day will be Feb. 18.
Chandler was appointed in 2018 by former Gov. Asa Hutchinson to lead the ABC, where she has overseen the regulation of the manufacture, distribution and sale of alcohol and medical marijuana. Before leading the ABC, Chandler worked as the general counsel for the state Crime Lab, according to an announcement by the attorney general’s office.
Scott Hardin, spokesman for the ABC and the state Medical Marijuana Commission, said this morning that there has not been an interim director named to fill Chandler’s position and Gov. Sarah Sanders has not made an appointment to fill the position permanently.
The attorney general’s announcement also said Robbi Riggs Rosenbaum would join the office as deputy general counsel and Barrett Dudley would join as deputy director of intergovernmental affairs. Rosenbaum is a former associate at Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC and Dudley is a former legislative analyst and assistant parliamentarian for the state House of Representatives.
