The San Antonio-based grocery store debunks the $80 H-E-B coupon you may have seen online.
H-E-BThe scammers are trying to fool us by using a fake $80 coupon to H-E-B, y'all. If you've seen it circulating on social media again (as I have), do not get your hopes up as H-E-B has debunked the fake coupon.
It seems like almost every year shoppers see a fake H-E-B coupon online. For this one, the coupon is claiming H-E-B is giving away $80 for its 118th anniversary, which seems like it might check out as H-E-B was founded in 1905 but don't fall for it. In 2019, a similar fake $80 coupon claimed H-E-B was celebrating its 50th anniversary.

ScreenshotThe recent coupon stated the voucher can be used for all items in store. It also instructs its users to print out the voucher. While I did not click it, outlets in the past said the coupon led to a site where visitors had to take a survey to get the voucher. H-E-B said it does not endorse the coupon.
"This is a fraudulent offer and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by H-E-B," the grocery chain told MySA.
You can check out H-E-B online coupons and offers using the H-E-B App or at heb.com/deals.
Fake vouchers are a common type of scam among retailers. In 2018, Kroger faced a similar issue with a fake $250 shopping coupon.
