Barney is pretty legendary to a subset of millennials.
That big ol' scary, tired-looking purple dinosaur raised us!
But then we grew up, and everyone started to hate him. The Barney backlash was real!
Then, I guess, he kind of went away? Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Gen Z grow up with Barney?
Anyway, there's some major news in the Barneysphere.
Barney got a new makeover.

Mattel announces the relaunch of the Barney franchise with an updated look of the dinosaur.
And, yep, people are mad.
Like clockwork, millennials started melting down.
From ruined childhoods...
...to comparisons to Yoshi.
This person said the new Barney looks like he eats kid.
It's kind of funny how grown adults want the old Barney back.
But hey, I don't blame the haters! I'm still not over when Dunkin' Donuts rebranded to just Dunkin' in 2019!
I will say that not everyone is so mad.
