PATNA: Two persons were allegedly murdered in separate incidents in Hussainganj and Jafra areas of Siwan district in the last 24 hours.
In the first incident, three unknown criminals opened fire on two bike riding brothers who were on their way to attend a marriage ceremony at Hasanpura. The incident took place around 11.30pm on Siwan-Siswan main road near Mahuwal chimney under the Husainganj police station area. The criminals fled from the spot after committing the crime.
According to police, Abhishek Tiwari alias Mukul Tiwari (25), son of Munna Tiwari of Dakhin Tola of Nagar police station area died on the spot after being hit by two bullets in the chest. Police have sent the body to sadar hospital for postmortem.Sadar SDPO Ashok Kumar Azad reached the spot along with the local police to investigate the incident. He said a youth along with his elder brother Avinash Tiwari was going to attend the marriage ceremony at Sahuli village of Hasanpura, when three miscreants tried to rob their bike. “Police are investigating whether the criminals have committed the crime only to snatch the bike or for some other reason,” Azad said.
“Avinash opposed and attacked the criminals with his helmet. After this, they pointed a pistol at the elder brother. Abhishek tried to stop them, but they fired twice and escaped from the spot,” police said.
Meanwhile, a young man identified as Babujan Ansari (30), was stabbed to death after a dispute at a wedding ceremony at Jafra village under Mufassil police station area on late Monday night. The incident took place when the procession had come for the marriage of Sudama Sah’s daughter in the village.During the ceremony, Ansari entered into an argument with a young man about the wedding arrangement.
