Organizers of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge are once again planning to host Rochester's biggest after-hours office party in downtown.

The event is set to take place on Thursday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at Innovative Field.

After two years of virtual events due to the pandemic, the in-person 3.5-mile road race returned in June 2022, with nearly 3,000 participants. This year's race is expected to follow the same route through downtown Rochester as in previous years and begin and end at Innovative Field, where pre- and post-race festivities will also take place.

The entry fee for the in-person race is $38 per employee, and company registration is already underway at jpmorganchasecc.com.

The Rochester Corporate Challenge has been a tradition for the region's workforce since 1991 and has grown over the years, with nearly 7,800 participants from 319 companies taking part in the last in-person race held in 2019.

Trisha Byler won the women's division of the 2022 J.P Morgan Corporate Challenge with a time of 20:25.

The 2020 and 2021 races were canceled due to the pandemic, but the 2022 race had reduced capacity and drew 2,976 participants.

Organizers expect around 5,000 runners and walkers for this year's race, and there are no pandemic-related attendance restrictions expected.

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge series includes 15 cities in eight countries, with a race in Buffalo set to take place on June 15 in Delaware Park.
