According to our news partners at the Trib, David Becker was one of three people rescue from a burning house along Route 819 on Feb. 10.

Becker was the only person not rescued by a neighbor, the Trib reports. His mother and younger brother got out of the home and he had to be pulled out by firefighters.

Becker was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital and died Sunday morning, the Trib reports.

According to the Trib, Becker was a fifth grader at Metzgar Elementary School in the Greensburg Salem School District. Superintendent Kenneth Bissell posted a message that said the school would have safety and counseling staff for any students or staff in need of support.
