RPF rescued 20 minors in 2022-23
Mangaluru: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Mangalore Central has rescued 20 minor boys and girls, who were secured from trains or railway stations and handed them over to their parents or police through Mangalore Child Welfare Committee (CWC) during 2022-23.
Through a mission named ‘Operation Nanhe Farishte’, RPF, led by M Akbar Ali, inspector and other officers and staff, secured and handed over children who were reported missing or left home without the knowledge of their parents. Fifteen minors were secured in 2022, and another five in January 2023.
RPF Palakkad division has secured 272 minor children and handed them over to safe hands during the last year through this service, according to a release. TNN
