Vadodara: Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 47.48 lakh was seized by the Dahod police near the Khangela village on the Indore-Ahmedabad national highway.
The seizure was made after the police received information that a truck carrying IMFL was to enter the state from the Madhya Pradesh border. The truck was reportedly destined towards Junagadh and Porbandar.
The police kept a watch on the highway and stopped a truck that matched the description officials had received. On checking, the police found 958 cartons containing 11,508 bottles of IMFL. Along with the truck, the seizure was valued at Rs 77,53,760.
The driver of the truck Mohanlal Bishnoi was arrested.
