The New York Fashion Week kicked off on Friday, and the first day of the event was a bang, thanks to fashion house Collina Strada's show. Named as "Please Don't Eat My Friends', it showcased the brand's Autumn-Winter collection.

The show created a buzz among audience, who were taken by surprise when they saw the models in convincingly good animal prosthetics to match their clothes.

Bark, meows and everything in-between

Instead of doing their customary walks, the models barked, meowed or snarled at audiences, which really stood out at the show. From elongated ear pieces, teal beaks, reptilian masks to pig snouts, the models rocked it all.

According to AFP, the show was an ode to animals in a menagerie atmosphere. Collina Strada is hailed as one of the most ethical fashion houses of the industry.

On it's website, Collina Strada calls itself a platform for social issues and awareness. Created by designer Hillary Taymour, Collina Strada aims to be radically transparent and sustainable while also staying true to craft.
