Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 6.25%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 5.18%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 3.76%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 2.91%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 2.72%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 2.30%), AVADHSUGAR(down 1.94%), BAJAJHIND(down 1.79%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.77%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 1.65%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 85.6 points down at 17770.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 250.86 points at 60431.84.
Titan Company Ltd(up 2.05%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.82%), NTPC(up 1.73%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.35%), Eicher Motors(up 1.25%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.99%), UPL Ltd(up 0.95%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.89%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.86%) and ITC(up 0.77%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 7.0%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 5.18%), State Bank of India(down 2.81%), Infosys(down 2.56%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.56%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.54%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.46%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.4%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.35%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.3%) closed in the red.
