Semistate matchups set for Central Catholic, Twin Lakes girls basketball

The Indiana High School Athletic Association revealed the semistate pairings and locations for girls basketball on Sunday.

Twin Lakes, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A with a 27-0 record, plays fellow Hoosier Conference member Hamilton Heights (20-5) at 11 a.m. Saturday in the first semifinal game at LaPorte. The winner will play either Tippecanoe Valley (22-3) or No. 7 Fairfield (25-2) in the 8:30 p.m. championship game.

Twin Lakes and Hamilton Heights did not play during the regular season. Hamilton Heights lost regular season games to West Lafayette, which Twin Lakes defeated three times, as well as Central Catholic and Northwestern, which the Indians each beat twice.

Central Catholic travels to Logansport's Berry Bowl for the Class 2A north semistate. The Knights won a semistate championship in Class A last season at Logansport.

Fifth-ranked CC (20-6) plays No. 3 Central Noble (25-2) at noon, following a semifinal between No. 4 Andrean (25-3) and Lapel (22-7). The winners play in the championship game at 8 p.m.
