San Diego police are looking for a driver who fled after running into a 25-year-old pedestrian in North Park on Sunday night, leaving the woman with broken ribs and a cut on her head.
The woman was trying to cross El Cajon Boulevard near Idaho Street around 6:30 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan heading west struck her and then left the scene.
The pedestrian had walked between two parked cars into the roadway when she was hit, police said. Signs posted in the area warned pedestrians not to cross there.
The victim suffered two fractured ribs and a laceration to her head, injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
