Father-son duo’s bail plea junked
Rajkot: The Morbi sessions court on Friday rejected the bail application of the father-son duo, Devang and Prakash Parmar in the Morbi bridge collapse case.
Parmar’s firm DevPrakash Solutions was given the subcontract by the Oreva Group for repairs of the Victorian-era suspension bridge.
Probe that they were ill-qualified for this work while the special investigation team (SIT) exposed their shoddy job.
The court earlier also rejected the bail of seven other accused in this case.
Devang Parmar is also a witness of the police in the chargesheet filed on January 27. His statement was recorded under CrPC section 164 before the magistrate, said sources. Total 135 people died in the suspension bridge collapse on October 30 last year.
