A Beaumont man is accused of possessing hundreds of images of a child engaging in sexual acts.

Robert Pascal Taylor, 49, was indicted Feb. 1 by a Jefferson County Grand Jury on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

On May 19, 2020, Beaumont police assisted Arlington police on a search warrant at a home on Woodway Drive in west Beaumont allegedly belonging to Taylor. Investigators seized multiple digital images containing child porn from electronic devices allegedly in Taylor’s possession, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Upon a forensic examination of the materials, there were hundreds of images allegedly showing a child engaged in sexual intercourse and oral sex, per the affidavit. Investigators selected 10 of those images to be used as evidence, per the affidavit.

An arrest warrant for Taylor was issued on July 12, 2022 and he was later taken into custody.

As of Thursday, Taylor is being held at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bond, per jail records.
