One of my favorite moments in pop culture history is when Patti LaBelle was on The Tyra Banks Show and had a pretty tense exchange with this cupcake baker, Lisa Lillien.
Possibly no one understands the importance of keeping your hands clean during the Coronavirus more than Patti LaBelle.
During the baking segment, Patti held up a cupcake and told the audience, "This [cupcake] has paper on it." She was basically letting them know she wasn't touching the cupcake with her bare hands. The baker then said, "You can't eat the paper."

Patti rolled her eyes and said, "What makes you think I think I could eat the paper, boo?" The woman then condescendingly replied, "No paper. Paper bad, cake good. You're the one who wanted to eat the paper."

"What's wrong with her?" Patti said to the audience. The baker then asked if Patti was OK, to which Patti said, "Girl, yeah, but I don't eat paper. I just made sure my hands were clean, and when I said to the audience, 'This is paper,' I meant I'm not touching the actual cupcake, boo."

Well, this week, Patti was on The Jennifer Hudson Show, when she was discussing viral moments from her career. "Then, there was the one with the cupcake — the girl thought I wanted to eat the cupcake," Patti said.

"The way I wanted to slap that heifer so hard," Patti said.

"She said, 'Miss LaBelle, don't eat the paper,'" Patti continued. "I said, 'What's wrong with you, boo? I don't eat paper.'"

"Anyway, so many moments of my life that I'm happy about. That was fun."
