Stock market update: FMCG stocks mixed as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading mixed on Tuesday at 11:16AM

Varun Beverages(up 5.97%), Future Consumer(up 4.35%), Nakoda Group(up 1.88%), Parag Milk(up 1.61%), Euro India Fresh Foods(up 1.20%), Sheetal Cool Products(up 1.10%), Hindustan Foods(up 0.81%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.81%), ADF Foods(up 0.76%) and Dodla Dairy(up 0.60%) were among the top gainers.

Dangee Dums(down 1.93%), Emami(down 1.92%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 1.45%), Dabur India(down 1.38%), Marico(down 1.24%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.08%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.00%), Bajaj Consumer(down 0.98%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.80%) and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.72%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 3.9 points up at 17768.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 25.87 points at 60481.03 at around 11:16AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 13.38%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 6.17%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.73%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.35%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.92%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.82%), State Bank of India(up 0.81%), SBI Life(up 0.75%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.65%) and Bajaj Finserv(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Steel(down 4.09%), Hindalco Industries(down 3.83%), ITC(down 2.84%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.59%), Tata Motors(down 1.24%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.08%), UPL Ltd(down 0.9%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.84%), Coal India(down 0.77%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.74%) were trading in the red.
