Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Friday at 11:01AM

Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.36%) and Coal India(up 0.23%) were among the top gainers.

Dvpt Corporation(down 4.53%), MOIL(down 2.15%), NMDC Ltd(down 1.84%), 20 Microns(down 1.82%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.50%), Ashapura Minechem(down 1.37%), KIOCL(down 1.25%), Pokarna(down 1.20%) and Aro Granite Industries(down 0.90%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 29.15 points up at 17639.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 291.31 points at 60223.55 at around 11:01AM.

Titan Company Ltd(up 4.41%), IndusInd Bank(up 2.24%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.02%), HDFC Bank(up 2.0%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.88%), HDFC(up 1.71%), UPL Ltd(up 1.39%), Britannia Industries(up 1.24%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.13%) and SBI Life(up 1.05%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 25.57%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 8.53%), Divis Laboratories(down 3.51%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.7%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.05%), Tata Steel(down 1.92%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.74%), NTPC(down 1.74%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.57%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.42%) were trading in the red.
