Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Friday at 10:30AM

20 Microns(down 6.58%), KIOCL(down 3.80%), Dvpt Corporation(down 2.62%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 2.51%), Coal India(down 2.48%), Ashapura Minechem(down 2.36%), Aro Granite Industries(down 2.18%), Pokarna(down 2.14%), NMDC Ltd(down 1.37%) and Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.29%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 189.0 points down at 17702.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 689.66 points at 59515.4 at around 10:30AM.

Bajaj Auto(up 6.81%), Tata Motors(up 6.53%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 3.4%), Cipla(up 2.66%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.69%), ITC(up 1.53%), UPL Ltd(up 0.98%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.96%), HCL Technologies(up 0.66%) and Enterprises(up 0.49%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, & Special Economic Zone(down 4.23%), Adani Enterprises(down 3.32%), HDFC(down 2.99%), ICICI Bank(down 2.72%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.66%), Coal India(down 2.48%), HDFC Bank(down 2.47%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.16%), State Bank of India(down 2.16%) and Axis Bank(down 2.03%) were trading in the red.
