Belagavi: Deputy commissioner Nitesh Patil has been selected for the ‘best election officer’ award given by the
Election Commission of India (ECI), on the ocassion of National Voters Day.
Offices of the ECI and chief election officer, Karnataka have announced the award on Tuesday. The awards would be presented on January 25 at Sir Puttanna Chetti Town Hall in Bengaluru by the governor Thawar Chand Gehlot. Chief election officer of Karnataka Manojkumar Meena and BBMP chief commissioner Tushar Girinath will be present.
Nitesh Patil has been chosen for the award considering his exemplary work in the voters’ registration and renewal process. The DCs of Tumakuru, Yadagiri and Udupi districts also have been selected for the award.
