2023 NCAA Tournament Bracketology
Will the Kansas Jayhawks become the first repeat champions in men's college basketball since Florida in 2006 and 2007? That's among the questions to consider during the 2022-23 season as Division I's 360-plus teams are now marching to the 2023 NCAA tournament -- a journey that will end at Houston's NRG Stadium for the Final Four on April 1 and 3. ESPN will be there every step of the way with its 2023 bracket projections, evaluating the current state of the bubble and identifying the top seeds for the game's showcase event.
Bracket Watch
All we know for sure in terms of No. 1 seeds are Purdue and Alabama are as solid as can be. Houston and Kansas put themselves in a tenuous position with homecourt losses this past weekend, and the Jayhawks finally dropped off the top line after falling at Baylor for their third straight defeat. In a bit of a surprise, Tennessee is the fourth No. 1 seed on our board, although legitimate cases could also be made for UCLA, Arizona and Kansas State. At the cut line, we don't ever recall the current situation where the first three teams out of the field are from the same conference. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and West Virginia are in a predictably cut-throat battle for the final bids from the nation's top conference.
