No new development in Wangoi AC, says ex-MLA

Imphal, January 24 2023: Former Wangoi MLA and BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president O Lukhoi has said that he does not expect much development in Wangoi AC in the coming few years.

Addressing the gathering at a distribution function of Chief Minister's Widow Pension card to beneficiaries of Wangoi AC at Thiyam Leishangkhong Awang Leikai on Tuesday, O Lukhoi said that he is not the type of person who remains silent and uncommunicated with the people after suffering defeat in election and assured to serve the people at his best level despite not being the elected representative and as such managed to distribute the widow pension cards.

According to O Lukhoi, there is no change or any new development in Wangoi AC other than the development projects taken up during his tenure and unlikelty to bring any significant development in the coming few years.

Newly elected MLAs of some assembly constituencies of the state have taken up development works but the incumbent Wangoi MLA is yet to take up any significant development work till date, he alleged, while appealing to Wangoi public to wait for some years to bring speedy development.

Later, 0 Lukhoi distributed pension cards to 140 benefi-ciriaries, who will get Rs 500 per month instead of Rs 200 per month given earlier.
