Priest kills self over viral video

RAJKOT: A priest in Junagadh shot himself in the head and took his own life with his licensed revolver on Tuesday morning at a farm near Khadiya in the outskirts of Junagadh, said the police. Cops registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for postmortem.
It’s believed that Rajbharti bapu was upset after an audio clip went viral showing him allegedly talking indecently with a woman. A picture of him with the woman too had gone viral.
“We have sent an FSL team to investigate the incident. We came to know that the man was upset over some social media post. We did not find any suicide note but will register an offence if we find any substantial evidence of abetment of suicide,” said Hitesh Dhandhaliya, Dy SP Junagadh.
