Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:46AM

Dangee Dums(up 0.84%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.31%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.13%), Dodla Dairy(up 0.06%) and DFM Foods(up 0.05%) were among the top gainers.

Nakoda Group(down 2.62%), Parag Milk(down 2.37%), Heritage Foods(down 2.30%), Hindustan Foods(down 1.90%), Bajaj Consumer(down 1.63%), Emami(down 1.23%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.18%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.09%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 1.03%) and Product Ltd(down 0.99%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 191.65 points down at 17926.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 629.59 points at 60349.16 at around 10:46AM.

Maruti Suzuki(up 0.82%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.66%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.33%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 0.31%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 4.98%), State Bank of India(down 2.67%), IndusInd Bank(down 2.12%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.96%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.93%), HDFC Bank(down 1.8%), Axis Bank(down 1.77%), Enterprises(down 1.73%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.7%) and Wipro(down 1.56%) were trading in the red.
