KPI Green Energy(up 6.51%), PIGL(up 3.34%), Orient Green Power Company(up 3.24%), PTC India(up 1.65%), NHPC(up 1.64%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 1.48%), Alstom T&D India(up 1.38%), Indowind Energy(up 1.08%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 0.70%) and Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 0.66%) stood among the top gainers.
Transmission(down 6.28%), Jyoti Structures(down 4.91%), Torrent Power(down 3.51%), NLC India(down 2.77%), DPSC(down 2.31%), Suzlon Energy-Partly Pd up Right Is(down 2.07%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.84%), Inox Wind Energy(down 1.34%), Hitachi Energy India(down 1.34%) and Voltamp Transformers(down 1.33%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 0.25 points down at 18118.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 37.08 points at 60978.75.
Tata Motors(up 3.37%), Maruti Suzuki(up 3.35%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.74%), HCL Technologies(up 1.49%), HDFC Bank(up 1.34%), Britannia Industries(up 1.34%), HDFC(up 1.22%), Asian Paints(up 0.94%), Eicher Motors(up 0.72%) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.63%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Axis Bank(down 2.41%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.96%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.93%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.84%), Grasim Industries(down 1.72%), SBI Life(down 1.71%), JSW Steel(down 1.62%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.32%), Tata Steel(down 1.31%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 1.16%) closed in the red.
