Every week, Netflix releases a list of the 10 most-watched TV shows over a recent seven-day period. Below, we’ve listed the top 10 shows in the U.S. from January 16 to January 22, along with general information about each show, including genre, rating, cast, and synopsis.

The Norse are in conflict with the English as both groups look to reign supreme. The notable Viking characters depicted in the show are Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett), Freydís Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Sutter). The spinoff retains the bloody and gritty tone from the original series as the Vikings fight for survival.
After 11 seasons over 12 years, The Walking Dead is no more. Now, fans can relive the final season on Netflix. Season 11 covers the Coalition’s encounter with the Commonwealth, a thriving and advanced civilization with over 50,000 survivors in various settlements.
The main group also faces off against a hostile faction known as the Reapers. Actors headlining the final season include Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene, Seth Gilliam as Gabriel Stokes, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan. The 24-episode season marks the final chapter in The Walking Dead saga.
The eldest sibling of The Addams Family is the star of the brand-new series Wednesday. Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams, a strange high school student obsessed with death and mischief. Sent to the Nevermore Academy after her expulsion from a previous school, Wednesday soon discovers her psychic powers and uses them to investigate a local murder.
After one week, Wednesday broke the record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix with an astonishing 341 million hours. Wednesday tied Stranger Things season 4 by going No. 1 in 83 countries.
The oldest public hospital receives a new medical director who shakes things up in New Amsterdam. Ryan Eggold stars as Dr. Max Goodwin, the new medical director at New Amsterdam Medical Center. The unconventional Dr. Goodwin wants to restore New Amsterdam to prominence by updating its old conventions and procedures.
Despite his passion, Dr. Godwin’s principles are met with pushback from the bureaucratic principals that run the hospital. Not taking no for answer, Dr. Godwin slowly wins over the trust of his coworkers as the hospital experiences a new awakening.
The second season of Vikings: Valhalla continues to follow the trio of Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett), Freydís Eiríksdóttir (Frida Gustavsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Sutter). It picks up shortly after the fall of Kattegat, where King Sweyen Forkbeard (Søren Pilmark) now occupies the settlement after Jarl Olaf Haraldsson (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson) failed to seize the city.
The trio is now fugitives as they evade capture in Scandanavia. Season 2 has been described as a “Thelma and Louise” road trip as Leif and Harald explore areas outside of Scandanavia. There will be more adventures as Vikings: Valhalla will receive a third season
After the death of her husband, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) uproots her family and moves them to a town in New England called Wellsbury. Accompanying Georgia is her 15-year-old daughter, Ginny (Antonia Gentry), and 9-year-old son, Austin (Diesel La Torraca).
While Ginny navigates high school, Georgia scores a job in the Mayor’s office, where she quickly falls for Paul Randolph (Scott Porter). As they strive for a fresh start, Ginny and Georgia face some setbacks as their past starts to catch up with them.
Hello, Wisconsin! The year is 1995, 15 years since the events of That ’70s Show, and Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Donna Pinciotti) are married. During the Fourth of July weekend, Eric, Donna, and their teenage daughter, Leia (Callie Haverda), head to Point Place, Wisconsin, to visit Eric’s parents, Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp).
The shy and nerdy Leia meets her rebellious next-door neighbor, Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide), who introduces Leia to her rambunctious group of friends. Craving an adventure, Leia convinces her parents to allow her to spend the summer in Point Place with Red and Kitty. That ’90s Show is made for fans of That ’70s Show. However, it’s charming enough to generate new fans looking for a sweet, funny sitcom.
The adventures of Ginny and Georgia attempting to start a new life continue in the second season. Ginny continues to process the news that her stepfather’s death was no accident. On the other hand, Georgia’s violent past continues to rear its ugly head as she prepares to marry Mayor Paul Randolph.
The second season occupied the top spot on the English TV List and the U.S. List. Overall, Ginny & Georgia season 2 debuted with an impressive 180 million hours viewed in the first week.
