Delhi man nabbed for Rs 4.5L theft from Betim gurdwara
Panaji: Porvorim police have arrested 35-year-old Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Chand Nagar, New Delhi, for the theft of Rs 4.5 lakh from the donation box of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Betim. Police are on the lookout for the second accused.
On January 18, the president of the gurdwara filed a complaint with police stating that unknown persons had entered the darbar hall of the gurdwara and had committed the theft by breaking open the donation box.
An FIR was registered and investigation was taken up.
Police analysed CCTV footage for almost three days and identified the accused, who was later nabbed. tnn
