‘Chicalim waste plant will also generate power’

Vasco: The garbage treatment plant for Chicalim, which will be commissioned in four to six months, will generate power from the wet waste it will treat, said local MLA and panchayats minister Mauvin Godinho.
“The much-needed garbage treatment for Chicalim will treat only wet garbage. The MRF shed is ready and the plant will take another four to six months to commission,” he said, adding that the dry waste will be taken away by the Goa Waste Management Corporation.
